I had been desperate for some yummy cake so I decided we could head out to have a quiet morning tea together. You always want to sit in Silas’ chair in the car and to be honest, it’s probably a much better fit for you now than your own chair!
We went to Mister Nice Guy in Ascot Vale and we were both really excited and wanted all the cakes! There was so much to choose from! You chose the pretty blue frosting with the rainbow on top and I had the snickers. It was nice and quiet and we enjoyed a casual chat in the cafe. Once we were done, we walked around a little bit until you needed so desperately to go to the toilet so we headed off. I had planned to go do some grocery shopping before going home but just as soon as we reached the shopping centre, you fell fast asleep.
I took you home and put you on your bed and you were out cold and did not move! So I took it as an opportunity to take some photos of you napping because it’s such a rare thing these days. You looked so peaceful. Spending time with you is like spending time with the best possible friend I could ask for. You are all sorts of characters and keep me entertained but also know when I need some me time. Watching you so peaceful in your sleep just makes my heart melt. I almost began to tear up when I was taking these photos…
You slept for ages but when you woke up you were in a mood so we went out the front to wait for Daddy. Soon after he got home, we all went together to pick up the guys (‘the guys’, that’s what you call your brothers) from school and to watch Sebastian receive his Star of the Week award.
When we got back, we hung out the front a bit more waiting for Nanna to pick you up for your weekend away with her. When you went inside, you locked me out but got annoyed about that so you shouted at me from the front door…
It was a great day for me and one that I will always remember ❤
This is a personal project I am doing with my good friend Sheree to motivate each other to document our days with the ones we love most. Please click here to see what she has been up to this month.
